Drought Resources

Drought continues to impact Colorado, with ongoing dry conditions and variable snowpack placing added strain on water supplies across the region.

At the South Metro Water Supply Authority (SMWSA), we work closely with our member providers and regional partners to plan for these challenges and support a reliable, sustainable water future.

While all SMWSA members share the same long-term goals, each provider may respond to drought conditions differently based on their specific water supplies, infrastructure, and community needs. This means water restrictions and conservation measures can vary depending on where you live.

No matter your provider, we can all play a role in using water wisely. Simple actions—like adjusting irrigation schedules, fixing leaks, and choosing water-efficient landscaping—can make a meaningful difference. By working together, we can help protect our shared water resources now and for the future.
